A bit of history at Vallensbaek

Brought in specially from the local musuem, this cold moulded Finn from about 1958 reminds us what Finn sailing used to be like. It still has its original wooden spars, tube type self bailers and cotton Elvstrom sail. Ralph Roberts, who is on the jury here this week, fondly remembers having one of the last gold couloured sails made by Elvstrom before the move to Dacron in 1960.
